DEPOK – On 4th-8th 2019 Department of Economics FEB UI held intensive course program about public policy related to urban. This course is the last part of long-term collaboration agreement between School of Business and Economics, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (SBE-VU) and FEB-UI.
It was very special because there were two lecturer together did discussion in one class who an expert on urban problem, Dr. Peter Mudler & Prof. Dr. Henri De Groot as lecturer from Department of Spatial Economics VU University.
The material discussed throughout the lesson are about urban and regional economics, location theory, urban spatial structure, Agglomeration economies, housing, land use & urban planning and economic geography model. At last of the program, all participants have got presentation and the assignment to write a paper about Monocentric City Model, also Article for the Urban Economist.
These all are the best experience of four weeks in studying transportation, environment, and urbanism from an economic perspective to overcome current problems and make modern living conditions better for the future. (Des)
